As of his career, currently, he is working as a head coach in NCAA Division for South Florida Bulls football. In 1983, he joined the University of Florida coaching staff as a graduate assistant back and later served as a graduate assistant at Texas A&M. In 1986, he did his first full-time coaching job at Southern Illinois.
Later, he joined the South Carolina Gamecocks as a defensive coordinator in 1999. Before the 2003 season, he was hired as defensive coordinator for the Florida Gators.
